MR. JEFFREY STEINER JOINS ALTAIR RESOURCES BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Jeffrey Steiner has joined the board of Altair Resources Inc.
“Mr. Steiner’s extensive business career has touched several industries. He has been an active member of the Altair Advisory Board and recently visited the Crepulje Project and we are very encouraged by his decision to join the Board”, stated Mr. Harold Shipes, President & CEO
Mr. Steiner is a senior executive, board director and lawyer involved in real estate, the film & TV industry, the mining sector and early-stage angel investment. He leads New Franchise Media Inc., which was formed to create film & television productions based on the best-selling novels of Jeffrey Archer. Jeff is also a member of the board of directors of Export Development Canada (EDC) which had net income of approximately C$925 million in 2015. He is also Co-Chair of the newly formed joint Canada-United Arab Emirates Business Council.
Jeffrey previously served as the President & C.E.O. of the Toronto Economic Development Corporation (TEDCO) from 2002 to 2009 which focused on real estate & industrial development and in-bound foreign investment promotion. Jeff has a unique combination of business and public policy experience with a keen interest in how the public and private-sectors can work together in job creation, R&D, infrastructure and other strategic investments. Jeff recently completed several years on the board of the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE Inc.), including Chair of its Governance Committee, primarily focused on the commercialization of university-based R&D. Now assisting the early-stage company investor community by serving as President (part-time) of the Network of Angel Organizations (Ontario). Advisory board member of SEB Inc (an IT company), plus Tirex Resources, Arian Resources, and Altair Resources – all three being exchange-listed mining companies.
